About Funding Support in Singapore

Who Is Eligible

There is a wide variety of funding mechanisms in Singapore.

Skills Future Singapore

There are a few categories of eligibility. This can be segmented into:

Self Sponsored
  • Age 21 years to 39 years old can get up to 50% funding
  • Age 40 years old and above can get up to 70% funding
Company Sponsored (Non-SME)
  • Age 21 years to 39 years old can get up to 50% funding
  • Age 40 years old and above can get up to 70% funding
Company Sponsored (SME)
  • Age 21 years and above can get up to 70% funding

SSG Funding Requirements

  • Trainees must fulfil at least 80% attendance and pass the in-house assessment to be eligible for funding.
  • A functioning Singpass app is required for mandatory e-attendance scanning.
    • Trainees must scan their attendance twice daily using the Singpass app.
    • If you are unable to access Singpass, please inform us in advance so we can assist you.

Cancellation Policy

  • Requests for cancellation or deferment must be submitted in writing at least 14 days before the class start date.
  • Cancellation initiated less than 14 days before the class start will incur fee charges.
  • Approval is subject to Trainocate’s discretion.

Refund Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 14 days before the class start date to receive a full refund with no charges.
  • Cancellations made 7 to 13 days before the class start date will incur a 50% course fee charge.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the class start date will be charged 100% of the course fee.
  • Exceptions may be granted with Trainocate management approval.

Feedback Policy and Procedure

  • You may submit any feedback / complaints via email to  funding@trainocate.com.
  • All formal complaints will be handled within 7 working days from receipt with a written reply given.
  • Feedback given will be documented and used in continual service and delivery improvement.

Appeal Policy and Procedure

As a candidate in this course assessment, you may appeal your results if you disagree with them. To do so, submit your appeal via email to funding@trainocate.com within 3 working days of receiving your assessment results.

  • What is the SkillsFuture Grant?

    The SkillsFuture Grant is a government initiative aimed at encouraging Singaporeans to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning. It provides financial support for a wide range of courses to help individuals upgrade their skills and stay relevant in the workforce.
  • Who is eligible for the SkillsFuture Grant?

    All Singaporeans aged 25 and above are eligible for the SkillsFuture Grant. Additional credits are available for mid-career individuals aged 40 and above.
  • How much funding is available through the SkillsFuture Grant?

    Eligible individuals receive an initial credit of \$500, which does not expire. Additional top-ups and credits are provided periodically, such as the one off \$500 top-up in 2020 and the \$4,000 credit for mid-career individuals in 2024.

  • Can I transfer my SkillsFuture credits to someone else?

    No, SkillsFuture credits are non-transferable and can only be used by the individual to whom they are allocated.
  • What types of courses offered by Trainocate are eligible for funding?

    A wide range of courses are eligible for funding under the SkillsFuture Grant, including those related to technology, business, healthcare, and more. You can find a comprehensive list of eligible courses.
  • Can I use the SkillsFuture Grant for overseas courses?

    No, the SkillsFuture Grant can only be used for courses offered by approved training providers in Singapore.
  • How do I claim my SkillsFuture credits?

    After completing an eligible course, you can submit a claim through the MySkillsFuture portal. You will need to provide proof of course completion and other required documents.
  • What happens if I fail the assessment?

    If you fail the assessment, you will not be required to refund the SkillsFuture credits used. However, you may not be able to claim additional credits for the same course.
  • Is there additional support for mid-career individuals?

    Yes, mid-career individuals aged 40 and above receive additional credits and support under the SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme. This includes a substantial top-up of SkillsFuture credits and training allowances to ease the financial burden of full-time training.
