This course teaches learners how to design, build, and deploy custom AI-powered copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio. Participants will learn how to create conversational agents by defining topics, managing conversation flows, working with entities and variables, and integrating external systems through connectors, actions, and Power Platform services. The course also explores methods for enhancing copilots with automation, enterprise data, and Dataverse for Teams to deliver intelligent and personalized user experiences. Through hands-on learning, participants will gain the skills required to test, publish, and maintain copilots across various channels while following best practices for conversational AI design and generative AI-powered solutions.

Module 1: Get started with Microsoft Copilot Studio
Microsoft Copilot Studio is a graphical, low-code studio for building and managing agents and workflows. In this module, you explore the three agent harnesses and compare the classic, now called standard harness, authoring experience with the new GitHub Copilot harness experience. The procedures for topics, generative orchestration, and the test panel use the standard harness unless otherwise noted.

Module 2: Design agent conversations using topics
Microsoft Copilot Studio uses topics, which are like small conversations related to a specific subject. A Microsoft Copilot Studio agent typically includes many topics. This module introduces you to topics, a conversation between a user and an agent, and how tocreatethem.

Module 3: Build intelligent agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio
This module shows how to build intelligent agents that provide contextual, relevant responses by leveraging knowledge sources and generative AI capabilities in Microsoft CopilotStudio.

Module 4: Add structured automation to agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio
Learn how to add structured automation to your Copilot Studio agents by using deterministic workflows as tools. You'll create workflow tools, add them to agents and topics, and validate their behavior in test sessions.
